Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 2026

Short version: Foki does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. We have no backend server. The only third-party service that receives any data is RevenueCat, which handles subscription management on our behalf.

1. Who We Are

Foki is a screen time management app developed and operated by José Barbosa, an independent developer. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at hello@foki.app.

2. Data We Collect Directly

None. Foki has no user accounts, no backend server, and no analytics SDK of our own. All data generated by the app — your blocking rules, schedules, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage.

We never see, access, or receive any of this information.

3. Data Collected by Third Parties

Foki uses the following third-party services, each of which may collect data independently:

3a. RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. When you make a purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat may collect:

RevenueCat does not collect your name, email address, or Apple ID. This data is used solely for subscription management and is governed by RevenueCat's own privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.

3b. Apple

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles billing, payment information, and transaction records. Foki never sees your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to all App Store transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Apple's FamilyControls and Screen Time frameworks are used to implement app blocking. These frameworks operate entirely on-device and do not transmit data to Apple or to us beyond standard Apple system telemetry governed by Apple's privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

Since we do not collect data ourselves, we have nothing to retain. Any data held by RevenueCat or Apple is retained and deleted per their respective privacy policies.

Your on-device data (blocking rules and settings) persists until you delete the app or clear app data from your device settings.

5. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to:

Because Foki holds no personal data about you, the only data subject to these rights would be information held by RevenueCat (e.g., anonymous device identifiers associated with your purchases). You can contact RevenueCat directly via their privacy policy page, or contact us at hello@foki.app and we will assist you in directing your request appropriately.

6. Children's Privacy

Foki is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security

Because all app data is stored locally on your device, its security is governed by your device's security settings (e.g., passcode, Face ID). We recommend keeping your device and iOS up to date.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
